A Historic Residence, Reborn
In Monteroni di Lecce, along the provincial road connecting Lecce and Arnesano, Villa Gloria preserves the identity of a historic residence and brings it back to life through a new vision of hospitality.
This is not a villa designed simply to be admired. It is a place to move through, inhabit and listen to.
Its rooms, patterned floors, arches, warm-toned walls, garden, swimming pool and contemporary additions create a subtle balance between what has been and what continues to take shape.
Villa Gloria was born from this dialogue: preserving the memory of a place and transforming it into an experience.
A Story of Memory, Art and Legend
Every historic home holds both a visible story and a more secret one. Villa Gloria is no exception.
According to a story passed down through the history of the villa, the name Gloria is associated with a young woman who was passionate about art and music and connected to the Pranzo and Zaccaria families.

Art, music and memory in a timeless residence
Gloria loved beauty, musical instruments, works of art and those moments when the house became a place for people to gather.
One of the most evocative elements of this story is a space that can still be seen on the terrace, beside the staircase leading to the upper floor. According to legend, it was designed to house a harp, the instrument most closely associated with Gloria’s musical world.
It is not a historical account to be established as definitive fact, but rather a poetic trace.
A story that gives the villa a distinct purpose: to welcome beauty, allow it to resonate and give it room to exist.
Today, the name also carries a new and deeply personal meaning. Gloria is the name of the current owner’s daughter: a coincidence that creates a sense of continuity, forming a symbolic connection between memory, affection and the future.

vision
From Past to Present
Villa Gloria was never conceived as an impersonal project.
It was born from a vision: to bring a house back to life and transform it into a place capable of welcoming guests, artists, works of art, experiences and private moments.
The restoration and the villa’s new identity do not erase what was already here. They reinterpret it.

The restoration and the villa’s new identity do not erase what was already here. They reinterpret it.
The floors retain the original character of the house. The arches shape the rhythm of the interiors. Walls, vaulted ceilings and openings guide the eye from one room to the next, while the garden remains a natural threshold between the villa and the surrounding landscape. Colour, too, becomes part of the story.
Terra Red runs through Villa Gloria like a thread of warmth, intensity and passion. Natural Ochre creates softer, more enveloping and intimate spaces. Lime White enhances the light and gives the rooms a greater sense of openness. Botanical Green enters through the windows, inhabits the garden, accompanies the courtyards and is reflected in the stillness of the swimming pool.
Every element contributes to a distinctive visual language in which architectural memory, nature and contemporary details coexist without overpowering one another.
The result is a villa near Lecce that neither attempts to imitate the past nor seeks to appear coldly modern. Instead, it chooses to inhabit both worlds, preserving what has been while making room for what it continues to become.

the art of relax
At Villa Gloria, relaxation is not a service. It is a form of experience.
It comes from the morning light moving through the rooms, the silence of the garden, the water of the swimming pool, a carefully prepared breakfast and the works of art that change the way each space is perceived.
It comes from discreet hospitality: attentive without ever being intrusive.
From a beauty that does not need to impose itself.
From a different way of experiencing time: slower, more mindful and more personal.
This is the Art of Relaxation: allowing every element of the villa to contribute naturally to each guest’s wellbeing, without turning it into an artificial promise.

A Living Gallery
Villa Gloria’s artistic vocation extends far beyond its story.
Every year, six artists are invited to curate the villa’s six rooms. Their works enter the spaces, interact with the furnishings, flow through the shared areas and transform every stay into a continually evolving experience.
Villa Gloria does not display art as mere decoration. It allows art to live within the house.
Each room becomes its own visual landscape. Every passage may reveal a work, a detail or an unexpected new presence. Every stay also becomes an encounter with a different artistic sensibility.
Guests may purchase the works directly through the artists.
In this way, Villa Gloria also becomes a space that supports and gives visibility to creative voices, particularly those rooted in the local area.

Architecture, Design and Nature
The character of Villa Gloria lies in the dialogue between different elements.
The building retains the atmosphere of a historic residence while embracing contemporary details, carefully selected furnishings, striking bathrooms, artistic installations and distinctive colour choices.
Red runs through the villa like a warm thread. Ochre creates softer, more intimate surroundings. White gives space to the light.
Green enters through the windows, inhabits the courtyards, accompanies the garden and is reflected in the stillness of the outdoor spaces.
Nothing is designed to demand attention.
Everything is designed to endure.
